These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Paddlor app ("App") for iPhone and Apple Watch, developed and operated by Brian Theuma ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Paddlor. By using the App you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's consent.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service. This licence does not allow you to copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or distribute the App or any part of it.
Free tier. Core features of Paddlor are available at no cost, including session recording, GPS routes, 24-hour forecast, community spot viewing, and up to two craft profiles.
Paddlor Pro. An optional subscription unlocks additional features including the 7-day forecast, extended session history, spot contributions, unlimited craft profiles, session photos, and export. Pro is available at:
Prices may vary by region based on App Store local pricing. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy.
Paddlor is a companion tool for recreational paddle sports. It is not a safety device, a rescue tool, or a substitute for proper training, judgment, or equipment. Always check official weather and marine forecasts before going on the water. Forecasts within the app are sourced from Open-Meteo and are provided for guidance only — they may be inaccurate or delayed.
You are solely responsible for your safety and the safety of others when participating in water activities. We accept no liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from your use of the App or reliance on any information it provides.
Pro subscribers may contribute community paddle spots. By submitting a spot, you confirm that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge and does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.
We reserve the right to remove any spot that is inaccurate, inappropriate, or reported by other users. We do not verify submitted spots and make no warranty as to their accuracy, safety, or accessibility. Always assess a location yourself before launching.
You agree not to use the App to:
All content in the App — including its design, code, graphics, and text — is owned by or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or accurate. Forecast and conditions data is provided by third-party services and we make no guarantees as to its completeness or reliability.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or loss of data. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. Cancelling a Pro subscription does not entitle you to a refund for any unused period.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply.
